India-UK Trade Agreement Comes Into Force, Rajnath Singh Says Pact Will Strengthen Economy and Global Partnerships
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which came into force today, will strengthen India's economic growth and global partnerships. The agreement is expected to boost exports, support MSMEs and industries, benefit professionals in the United Kingdom, and create new opportunities for employment and investment while advancing the vision of a Developed India.
In a social media post, Mr Singh stated that the agreement will boost exports, create new opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), support Indian industries, and benefit professionals working in the United Kingdom. He added that the agreement will also open new avenues for employment and investment, further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
Highlighting the broader significance of the agreement, Mr Singh underlined that India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continues to secure agreements that strengthen the country's economy, expand global opportunities, and contribute to the vision of a Developed India. He said the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement represents another important milestone in advancing India's long-term economic aspirations and enhancing its position in the global economy.
