An Indian national named Pravna Bhatt, aged 27, was confronted in the United Kingdom for allegedly grooming a 14-year-old minor through explicit online messages. The viral video shows him admitting to sending inappropriate texts and pleading for leniency after being caught by British patriots. Bhatt, who came on a student visa and later switched to a post-study visa after studying at the University of Leeds, faces scrutiny over his actions. The incident raises alarms on cross-border online child grooming. 

A 27-year-old Indian man, Pravna Bhatt, has been confronted and caught in the United Kingdom while allegedly attempting to sexually groom a minor. The disturbing incident gained widespread attention after a video of the confrontation went viral on social media, showing Bhatt being questioned by local vigilantes who identified themselves as British patriots.In the clip, Bhatt is seen pleading for leniency as he faces questions about his online conversations with individuals he believed to be minors. He admitted to sending sexually explicit texts to a girl despite knowing she was 14 years old. In one of the messages, upon learning her age, he allegedly replied "I will go to jail" accompanied by laughing emojis.Bhatt told his confrontors that he had moved to the United Kingdom three years ago on a student visa. He was residing in the country on a post-study visa after completing his education at the University of Leeds. Reports indicate that it remains unconfirmed whether the Indian national was interacting with a decoy profile, a common tactic in online grooming investigations, or if he had attempted to groom an actual underage girl.The case has highlighted serious concerns regarding online safety and the exploitation of minors through digital platforms. Such incidents underscore the growing challenges authorities and communities face in protecting vulnerable young individuals from grooming attempts across borders.
