Indian Navy Opens 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for January 2027 Batch with 60 Vacancies

The Indian Navy has officially announced the opening of applications for unmarried male and female candidates under the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for the January 2027 batch. The recruitment drive offers a gateway for aspirants seeking careers in Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering, with the online application process commencing on May 29, 2026, and continuing until June 18, 2026.

According to the official notification, candidates must have successfully completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, securing a minimum of 70 percent marks. In addition, applicants are required to have obtained at least 50 percent marks in English in either Class 10 or Class 12 examinations. The date of birth criteria for eligibility has been specified as between 02 July 2027 and 01 January 2010, as mentioned in the official notice.

Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the Indian Navy recruitment portal. The application process involves accessing the online application section on the homepage, entering academic details from Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, uploading the necessary documents in JPG or TIFF format, and submitting the completed application form. Applicants are also advised to retain a printed copy of the submitted form for future reference.

The recruitment notification specifies a total of 60 vacancies under the Cadet Entry Scheme. Of these, 30 positions are allocated to Mechanical Engineering, while the remaining 30 are designated for Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The selection process will be conducted through the Services Selection Board interview. Candidates who qualify the initial shortlisting stage will be called for the interview, after which the final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the SSB interview and subsequent medical examination.
