Argos Watches Unveils Olympus II Automatic Collection Amid Rising Demand for Affordable Luxury Timepieces in India

Argos Watches launches Olympus II automatic collection in India, expanding its affordable luxury watch segment. The new line features Miyota movement, sapphire crystal glass, open-heart dials, and premium finishes, reflecting strong demand, innovation, and growing interest in Indian luxury watch craftsmanship.

Argos Watches, a homegrown Indian luxury watch brand, has launched its latest automatic collection titled Olympus II, marking a significant expansion in its presence within the country’s rapidly growing affordable luxury segment. The launch reinforces the brand’s positioning among emerging premium watchmakers catering to India’s evolving consumer preferences.

The introduction of Olympus II follows the strong commercial performance of the brand’s earlier collections, including Olympus I and Apollo III, both of which witnessed complete sell-outs. Ahead of the official release, the new collection recorded over 34,000 pre-launch sign-ups, reflecting heightened consumer demand for premium automatic watches and the rising appeal of domestic luxury labels offering refined craftsmanship and contemporary design.

As part of the development process for Olympus II, the Argos Watches team undertook a research and development visit to Japan earlier this year. The collection draws inspiration from Japanese watchmaking traditions combined with modern design sensibilities, aiming to deliver a balance of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics for everyday wear.

Olympus II is powered by Japanese Miyota automatic movement technology and incorporates open-heart dial architecture, sapphire crystal glass, fluted detailing, and premium finishing. The design focus emphasizes durability, precision, wearability, and timeless visual appeal, aligned with the brand’s philosophy of accessible luxury for modern consumers.

Priced starting at Rs. 13,990, the collection is positioned to make premium automatic timepieces more accessible to young professionals, collectors, and watch enthusiasts across India. The brand stated that the objective is to bridge the gap between aspirational luxury and everyday sophistication through elevated craftsmanship at a competitive price point.

The launch also marks the introduction of women’s automatic watches under the Olympus line for the first time. The expanded range features more compact designs while retaining the signature detailing and mechanical craftsmanship associated with the collection. With this development, the brand aims to cater to the growing number of women exploring mechanical and automatic timepieces in the premium segment.

An official statement from the Argos Watches team noted, “Olympus II is a reflection of what our community has consistently asked for — elevated finishing, stronger movements, and thoughtful design. As a growing Indian watch brand, we want to continue creating products that feel premium, timeless, and globally relevant while remaining accessible to our audience.”

Over recent years, India’s watch market has witnessed a notable shift toward mechanical and automatic timepieces, particularly among younger consumers seeking craftsmanship, storytelling, and individuality in luxury purchases. With consistent community engagement, multiple successful launches, and an expanding customer base, Argos Watches continues to establish itself as one of India’s fastest-growing independent brands in the affordable luxury watch segment.

The launch of Olympus II further strengthens the brand’s trajectory in the premium timepiece category, signaling its intent to expand design innovation, broaden its consumer base, and deepen its influence within India’s evolving luxury watch landscape.
