Pratapgarh Enforces Strict Petrol Sale Regulations: Petrol Denied to Underage and Helmetless Riders
Pratapgarh district administration has issued strict new petrol sale rules under Collector Shubham Chaudhary’s directions. Minors under 18 and helmetless riders will be denied fuel. Petrol pumps must display guidelines on flex boards. Sale outside fuel tanks is banned. The decision was taken in a District Road Safety Committee and Task Force meeting to enhance road safety enforcement and compliance across the district.
Under the new rules, individuals below 18 years of age riding motorcycles will not be permitted to purchase petrol at any fuel station across the district. In addition, riders operating vehicles without wearing helmets will also be denied fuel at petrol pumps.
Petrol pump owners have been directed to prominently display these instructions on flex boards at their respective outlets to ensure public awareness and strict compliance. The guidelines further state that the sale of petrol outside authorized fuel tanks is completely prohibited under all circumstances.
These decisions were taken during a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee and Task Force, where road safety enforcement measures were reviewed and strengthened. District Supply Officer Ramchandra confirmed the implementation of the new directives and provided details regarding the enforcement mechanism.
The administration has emphasized strict adherence to these rules as part of broader efforts to improve road discipline and reduce traffic-related violations in the district.
