Five Uttar Pradesh Police Personnel Killed in High-Speed Collision on KMP Expressway in Nuh

According to initial reports, a Scorpio vehicle carrying the police personnel was traveling towards Palwal when the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle. Eyewitnesses stated that during the maneuver, the vehicle lost balance and collided violently with a vehicle moving ahead. The impact was so severe that the Scorpio was completely mangled, resulting in the immediate death of all five occupants at the scene.

Emergency response teams and police personnel reached the site promptly after receiving information about the incident. Rescue operations proved challenging, as the bodies were trapped inside the severely damaged vehicle and required significant effort to be retrieved. Ambulances were deployed to transport the deceased to nearby hospitals.

Station House Officer Sheesh Ram Yadav of Tauru Sadar Police Station confirmed that all the deceased were personnel of the Uttar Pradesh Police, posted in Jalaun district. He stated that the Superintendent of Police in Jalaun had been informed, and identification of the deceased along with other legal formalities is currently underway.

Preliminary investigation indicates that overspeeding and loss of control during overtaking were the primary causes of the accident. Police have registered a case and initiated a detailed probe into the incident.

Another official, Station House Officer Krishna Kumar of Tauru Police Station, added that the highway patrolling team responded immediately upon receiving the alert. Upon arrival, they found the Scorpio vehicle in a completely wrecked condition, with all five occupants already deceased. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination to Nalhar and Civil Hospital.

The administration has issued a strong advisory urging motorists to exercise caution while driving on expressways and strictly adhere to traffic regulations. The incident underscores the persistent dangers of high-speed driving and reckless overtaking on highways, highlighting the urgent need for disciplined road behavior to prevent further loss of life.
