Russia’s ‘Made in Russia’ Export Forum to Spotlight High-Tech Ties with India
Russia’s ‘Made in Russia’ Export Forum will spotlight high-tech solutions and global partnerships on November 16 in Moscow, as the country expands its Indian market presence through a permanent Navi Mumbai pavilion and new retail plans.
For India, the ‘Made in Russia’ initiative has become a practical channel for market entry. On August 21, 2026, REC opened its eighth global and first permanent ‘Made in Russia’ national pavilion in Navi Mumbai, India. The pavilion features leading Russian brands, including MAKFA, United Confectioners and Miratorg.
REC also plans to launch ‘Made in Russia’ shelves in Indian retail stores by the end of this year, expanding the initiative’s presence in the Indian consumer market.
Earlier developments included a business mission for 23 Russian companies at INNOPROM India in New Delhi in September and a successful event in Mumbai in May that generated export potential worth more than million.
According to India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, bilateral trade between India and Russia continued to grow, reaching .7 billion from January to July 2026, marking an increase of 24.3%.
The 2026 forum agenda will prioritise expanding supplies of Russian knowledge-intensive products, integrating them into global value chains and identifying partners for joint innovation. Discussions will also examine the geopolitical impact on trade, changing supply chains and export opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses.
Direct business meetings between Russian exporters and foreign partners will form a key part of the forum. Participants from more than 100 countries are expected to attend, including federal and regional officials, financial institutions and business groups.
An accompanying exhibition will showcase Russian technological solutions in medicine, robotics, industry and information technology. The exhibition is intended to connect discussions on high-tech development with tangible products prepared for international markets.
With its focus on technology exports, commercial engagement and joint innovation, the forum will provide a platform for Russian companies to explore international opportunities, while the expansion of the ‘Made in Russia’ initiative in India highlights the growing importance of bilateral trade and market access.
