Equitas Digital Fixed Deposit Gains Momentum as Investors Seek Secure High-Return Banking Options

Fixed Deposits continue to attract Indian investors seeking secure and predictable returns. Equitas Small Finance Bank's Digital Full KYC Fixed Deposit offers interest rates of up to 8 per cent, fully digital onboarding, Video KYC verification, and deposit insurance protection, reflecting the growing shift toward convenient and secure digital banking solutions.

As demand for safe and stable investment avenues continues to rise across India, Fixed Deposits remain among the most sought-after financial products for salaried professionals, retirees, and first-time investors. Growing interest in high-interest Fixed Deposits, secure digital investment platforms, and trusted banking institutions has accelerated the adoption of online deposit products, with the Equitas Digital Full KYC Digital Fixed Deposit emerging as a notable option for digital-first investors.

Offered by Equitas Small Finance Bank, the Digital Fixed Deposit combines competitive interest rates with a fully digital onboarding process. The bank currently offers interest rates of up to 7.4 per cent per annum for regular customers and up to 8 per cent per annum for senior citizens on an 888-day tenure, positioning the product among the higher-yielding Fixed Deposit offerings available through regulated banking channels.

In an environment marked by market uncertainty, Fixed Deposits continue to attract investors due to their stable and predictable returns, low-risk exposure, flexible tenure options, capital protection, and liquidity benefits. Rising online searches related to secure bank Fixed Deposits, high-interest deposit schemes, and digital investment solutions reflect the increasing preference for protected savings instruments over market-linked alternatives.

Equitas Small Finance Bank, an RBI-licensed Scheduled Commercial Bank, has expanded its presence across India through an extensive network of branches and banking outlets. The institution combines conventional banking credibility with digital convenience, enabling customers to invest in Fixed Deposits entirely online from any location in the country.

The growing popularity of digital banking has transformed how customers invest in Fixed Deposits. Investors increasingly prefer instant online account opening, paperless processing, Video KYC verification, digital payment options, and online maturity tracking. The Equitas Digital Full KYC Digital Fixed Deposit facilitates this transition by allowing eligible customers to complete the process through the Equitas 2.0 mobile application using Aadhaar, PAN, and Video KYC verification.

Security remains a primary concern for customers exploring digital banking products. To address these concerns, banks have adopted RBI-approved Video KYC systems and secure digital infrastructure. The Equitas Digital Full KYC Digital Fixed Deposit incorporates Aadhaar-based authentication, PAN verification, live Video KYC, secure payment channels, and consent-based onboarding procedures designed to enhance customer protection.

Deposits under the scheme are also insured up to ₹5 lakh per depositor through the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of India, providing an additional layer of financial security for depositors.

The product is available exclusively to new-to-bank resident Indian customers aged 18 years and above who possess valid Aadhaar and PAN credentials, maintain an Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and qualify as resident Indians. Existing Equitas customers, Non-Resident Indians, foreign tax residents, and Politically Exposed Persons are not eligible to participate through the digital onboarding process.

Customers may fund their deposits through UPI transactions of up to ₹1 lakh or through Internet Banking and payment gateway channels for amounts up to ₹50 lakh. Following the funding process, applicants must complete Video KYC verification within three calendar days. The Fixed Deposit is booked only after successful verification and confirmation of credited funds. Video KYC services are available on bank working days between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Financial observers note that digital Fixed Deposits continue to attract investors because they combine competitive interest rates, enhanced convenience, rapid onboarding, secure banking systems, and nationwide accessibility. The ability to open a high-interest Fixed Deposit online without visiting a branch has become a significant factor influencing investment decisions among modern banking customers.

As digital banking adoption continues to accelerate, products such as the Equitas Digital Full KYC Digital Fixed Deposit demonstrate how traditional savings instruments are evolving to meet the expectations of mobile-first investors while maintaining the security and regulatory oversight associated with established banking institutions.
