Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Launched in India at ₹3,64,856, Shares Platform and Price with Classic 650
Royal Enfield has launched the Bullet 650 in India at ₹3,64,856, sharing its engine, platform, and price with the Classic 650. The motorcycle blends classic Bullet 350 styling with a 650cc twin-cylinder engine, offering refined performance, modern features, and retro design cues for both city commuting and long-distance touring.
The Bullet 650 is positioned at a price of ₹3,64,856 (ex-showroom, Chennai), placing it directly alongside the Royal Enfield Classic 650 in the company’s lineup. Notably, both motorcycles share not only the same mechanical foundation but also an identical price point, underscoring their closely aligned positioning within the brand’s portfolio.
The motorcycle is offered in two colour schemes, Cannon Black and Battleship Blue, both priced equally. While Cannon Black preserves the classic and vintage-inspired identity of the Bullet, Battleship Blue—exclusive to the Indian market—adds a refreshed visual appeal while maintaining the model’s retro character.
In terms of design, Royal Enfield has retained the Bullet’s distinctive identity while incorporating subtle refinements. The motorcycle features a traditional square-shaped rear fender, a single-piece seat, and a taller handlebar designed to enhance rider comfort and provide a more commanding riding posture. The footpeg positioning remains consistent with the Classic 650, ensuring familiar ergonomics for riders transitioning between the models.
Powering the Bullet 650 is Royal Enfield’s 647.95cc parallel-twin, air- and oil-cooled engine, producing 47 PS of power and 52.3 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. This engine, already used across the brand’s 650cc lineup including the Classic 650 and Super Meteor 650, is known for its smooth and tractable performance, particularly at highway cruising speeds. The Bullet 650 is expected to deliver a similarly refined and relaxed riding character, with strong midrange torque supporting both city and highway usage.
Underpinned by the same architecture as the Classic 650, the Bullet 650 shares its suspension setup, wheels, braking components, and overall dimensions. The feature list is also identical, including a semi-digital instrument cluster, Tripper navigation pod, USB charging port, full LED lighting system, and dual-channel anti-lock braking system.
With its launch, Royal Enfield has positioned the Bullet 650 as a blend of heritage styling and modern engineering, reinforcing the evolution of the Bullet nameplate into a more powerful and globally relevant segment while maintaining its classic identity.
The introduction of the Bullet 650 at an identical price to the Classic 650 highlights Royal Enfield’s strategy of offering differentiated styling and character on a shared mechanical platform, expanding choice for enthusiasts without altering core performance benchmarks.
