Authorities confirmed that the trial runs follow several months of modernisation and infrastructure enhancement work carried out across the monorail network. The improvement programme reportedly included targeted maintenance activities and technical upgrades designed to strengthen operational stability and long-term reliability ahead of the service restart.

The Wadala stretch has emerged as a central focus during the current testing phase, with multiple technical assessments being conducted simultaneously. Engineers and technical teams are closely monitoring system performance to identify and resolve any remaining issues before the corridor is reopened for public use.

Alongside the trial operations, extensive technical evaluations and final safety inspections are being carried out across the network.
