Mumbai University Releases First Merit List for UG Admissions 2026; Document Verification and Fee Submission Window Opens
Mumbai University has released the first UG admission merit list for 2026. According to the official admission schedule, candidates whose names appear in the first merit list are required to complete the online document verification process along with fee submission between May 27 and May 29, 2026. The verification link will remain active only until 3 PM on the final day, making timely completion essential for securing admission.
The university has directed all selected candidates to ensure the availability of scanned copies as well as original documents during the verification process. Students must upload all required documents within the stipulated timeline to confirm their admission.
Mumbai University is conducting admissions for undergraduate programmes offered across its autonomous and non-autonomous affiliated colleges. The admission process covers all undergraduate academic streams, including three-year degree programmes, four-year honours and honours with research programmes, as well as five-year integrated undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The online verification and fee submission process is mandatory for all shortlisted candidates. Failure to complete the process within the prescribed deadline will result in forfeiture of the allotted seat.
Candidates are required to submit a comprehensive set of documents during verification. These include the Class 10 Secondary School Certificate and mark sheet, Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate mark sheet, recent passport-size photograph in digital format not exceeding 500 KB, scanned signature on white paper also within 500 KB limit, Aadhaar card, Academic Bank of Credits identification number, school leaving certificate or transfer certificate, caste certificate along with validity certificate where applicable for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, or VJNT categories, domicile certificate for Maharashtra residents, migration certificate for students who have completed Class 12 from boards outside Maharashtra State, income certificate or Economically Weaker Section certificate for applicable fee concessions, and disability certificate for specially abled candidates where relevant.
The university has emphasised strict adherence to documentation requirements to ensure transparency and accuracy in the admission process. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details before submission to avoid rejection or delays.
