Galgotias University Receives Prestigious Blue Chip Partner Award at NEXUS 2026 Summit in Mumbai
Galgotias University received the prestigious Blue Chip Partner Award from L&T EduTech during NEXUS 2026 in Mumbai. The recognition highlighted the university’s growing focus on industry-integrated education, applied learning, advanced technology training, and experiential skilling initiatives developed in collaboration with leading global technology and engineering organisations.
NEXUS 2026 brought together more than 65 universities and colleges from across the country along with leading academic administrators and industry experts. During the summit, L&T EduTech recognised selected institutional collaborations for their contribution towards strengthening practical education models and bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
Galgotias University was recognised for its growing emphasis on application-oriented education, experiential learning ecosystems, industry immersion, and future-ready academic frameworks aligned with rapidly evolving workforce and technology demands. The summit also became a platform for extensive discussions on the future of higher education, engineering education, large-scale skilling, and the increasing importance of embedding practical and industry-led learning into mainstream academic programmes.
The recognition further reflected the expanding partnership between Galgotias University and L&T EduTech across multiple initiatives focused on integrating classroom learning with real-world industrial exposure. One of the major milestones of this collaboration has been the establishment of the Advanced EV Centre of Excellence by L&T EduTech and Galgotias University. The facility has been designed to prepare students for the fast-growing electric mobility sector through advanced infrastructure, hands-on technical exposure, and industry-aligned training systems.
The newly established facility by L&T EduTech has strengthened the expanding ecosystem of industry-aligned laboratories and Centres of Excellence already functioning at Galgotias University. These advanced facilities have been developed in collaboration with major organisations including Intel, Apple, Cisco, Salesforce, Tata Technologies, and Capgemini across domains such as artificial intelligence, supercomputing, iOS development, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, and digital engineering.
At present, 336 students from Galgotias University are undergoing four-year industry-integrated learning pathways in advanced domains including AI-enabled manufacturing, semiconductor technologies, Industrial Internet of Things, cybersecurity, smart infrastructure systems, applied data science, and digital engineering through programmes delivered in collaboration with L&T EduTech.
A major component of the academic model is continuous semester-wise industry immersion, under which students directly engage with industry professionals through applied projects, guided assignments, simulations, and practical technology exposure integrated into the academic curriculum. The initiative reflects the growing transition towards “train before hire” ecosystems aimed at equipping students with technical expertise, practical understanding, workplace readiness, and professional confidence during their university education itself.
Speaking on the recognition, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia said that industry exposure could no longer remain an optional component added at the end of a degree programme. He stated that the collaboration with L&T EduTech was enabling students to engage directly with real technologies, engineering systems, and practical problem-solving environments in a significantly more immersive manner.
He further said that the recognition acknowledged a shared effort towards building learning ecosystems closely connected with industry realities, innovation, and technological transformation. He added that the university remained grateful to L&T EduTech for creating opportunities that enable students to graduate with stronger practical capabilities, industry readiness, and professional confidence.
The recognition received at NEXUS 2026 has further strengthened Galgotias University’s position as an institution focused on innovation-driven education, applied learning, industry collaboration, and future-oriented student development in an increasingly technology-driven global environment.
