IGNOU Organises Mega Placement Drive in Mumbai Offering 250+ Job Vacancies Across Leading Companies

IGNOU, in collaboration with its Mumbai Regional Centre, will conduct a mega placement drive on May 16, 2026, in Kandivali East, Mumbai, offering over 250 job vacancies across sectors like fintech, logistics, banking, healthcare, and e-commerce. Candidates from UG, PG, and diploma backgrounds can apply for roles with salaries ranging from INR 25,000 to INR 45,000, along with incentives and career growth opportunities.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Campus Placement Cell, in collaboration with the IGNOU Regional Centre Mumbai, is set to host a large-scale placement drive in Mumbai aimed at providing employment opportunities across multiple industrial sectors. The recruitment event will be conducted at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) premises located in Kandivali East, Mumbai, with candidates required to report at 10 am for participation and verification procedures.

The placement drive is expected to bring together leading employers from diverse sectors including manufacturing, e-commerce, healthcare, fintech, logistics, banking, and human resources. More than 250 job vacancies will be made available through participating organisations, which include Lucid, Blinkit, HDB Financial Services, Insta Courier, Electro Care India Private Limited, and ImpactGuru. All offered positions will be on-roll roles based in Mumbai.

Eligible candidates for the recruitment drive include students and graduates from undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes. Applicants holding qualifications such as Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Science are also eligible to participate. Both freshers and experienced professionals have been invited to attend. Organisers have emphasised that candidates must possess effective communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and a willingness to learn.

The participating companies are expected to recruit for multiple positions, including Vice President Commercial and Supply Chain, telesales executive, picker packer, senior telecalling officer, business development executive, and human resources recruiter. These roles will be offered across various departments with multiple vacancies available in each category, reflecting broad hiring requirements across industries.

According to the official placement notice, selected candidates may receive monthly salaries ranging from INR 25,000 to INR 45,000, depending on industry standards and job roles. In addition to fixed compensation, organisations are expected to offer incentives, performance-based benefits, structured career growth opportunities, and continuous learning and development programmes to selected candidates.

Candidates attending the recruitment drive have been instructed to carry an updated curriculum vitae, original identity proof, a recent passport-size photograph, and relevant educational certificates. Registration for the placement event will be completed through a quick response code provided in the official event flyer, ensuring a streamlined entry process.

The recruitment drive is scheduled to take place on May 16, 2026, which falls on a Saturday. The venue is the Confederation of Indian Industry, Kandivali, located on Akruli Cross Road Number 3, opposite Pioneer School in Kandivali East, Mumbai, Maharashtra. Organisers have stated that candidates must arrive at the venue by 10 am to complete formalities and document verification before interviews commence.

The placement cell has extended an open invitation to IGNOU learners and alumni across various academic streams, aiming to facilitate direct interaction between candidates and industry representatives. The event is expected to serve as a significant employment platform, bridging academic talent with industry demand across multiple high-growth sectors in Mumbai.
