International Manhunt Ends: Gangster Rao Inderjeet Yadav Apprehended in Dubai
Indian gangster and Gems Tunes owner Rao Inderjeet Yadav has been arrested in Dubai following a 2024 murder in Rohtak. Facing over 15 cases including extortion, money laundering, and high-profile shootings involving Rahul Fazilpuria and Elvish Yadav, the social media figure now awaits extradition. The Enforcement Directorate’s probe into his luxury lifestyle and coercive loan settlements continues.
The gravity of Yadav’s operations prompted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to initiate a comprehensive money laundering probe last year. This investigation followed the targeted killing of a businessman, leading the probe agency to conduct extensive raids across Delhi and Gurugram. During these operations, authorities seized five luxury cars, bank lockers, and 17 lakhs in cash, alongside a mountain of incriminating documents and digital data linked to Yadav and his associates. Beyond his identity as a "strongman and enforcer" who mediated high-value financial disputes involving hundreds of crores, Yadav positioned himself as a legitimate entrepreneur. He is the owner and key controller of Gem Records Entertainment Pvt Ltd, operating under the brand "Gems Tunes." Founded in 2006, the entity serves as a video-on-demand OTT platform that produces and distributes regional content in Haryanvi, Punjabi, and Hindi.
Yadav’s lifestyle was defined by a calculated duality; while he managed a website portal specifically designed to facilitate coercive loan settlements between corporate houses and private financiers, he also maintained an opulent social media presence. Boasting over 15 lakh Instagram followers, he frequently posted photographs alongside Bollywood celebrities to cultivate a veneer of glamour. However, his violent reality remained at the forefront of police intelligence. In December 2024, his name surfaced in connection with the murder of financier Manjeet Dighal, an execution for which the Himanshu Bhau gang claimed responsibility. This event triggered Yadav’s flight from India, yet his influence persisted from abroad.
The gangster’s reach was further evidenced in July last year when his name emerged following a firing incident at the residence of singer Rahul Fazilpuria. Yadav and his associates subsequently claimed responsibility for the murder of Fazilpuria’s aide, Rohit Shaukeen, in Gurugram. The trail of violence continued just a month later when Yadav was again linked via social media posts to a firing incident at the home of prominent YouTuber Elvish Yadav. The successful apprehension of Rao Inderjeet Yadav in Dubai signals the beginning of a complex legal reckoning for a man who integrated organized crime with the digital entertainment industry, proving that international borders offer no permanent sanctuary from the reach of Indian justics
