GRSE Delivers Three Frontline Naval Platforms to Indian Navy, Marking Major Indigenous Defence Milestone

GRSE delivers Dunagiri, Sanshodhak, and Agray to the Indian Navy, marking a major milestone in indigenous defence manufacturing. The warships enhance missile strike, coastal survey, and anti-submarine capabilities, reinforcing India’s naval strength and self-reliance.

In a significant milestone for indigenous defence manufacturing, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) delivered three frontline Naval platforms – Dunagiri, Sanshodhak, and Agray – to the Indian Navy yesterday.

Dunagiri is capable of striking designated targets with missiles, reinforcing the Navy’s offensive capabilities. Sanshodhak will primarily carry out surveys along the coast and other areas, strengthening maritime reconnaissance and mapping functions. Agray is designed to destroy enemy submarines, enhancing underwater warfare preparedness and strategic defence operations.

With these delivery GRSE has reached the milestone of building 118 warships, including 80 delivered to the Indian Navy, underlining its critical role in advancing indigenous naval shipbuilding capacity.

The delivery of these warships was formally accepted on behalf of the Indian Navy by Gautam Marwah and by Shishir Dixit, marking the official induction of the platforms into naval service through established administrative and ceremonial protocols.
