Punjab Backs AAP in Local Body Polls, Says CM Bhagwant Mann as Party Secures Major Victory

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said AAP’s decisive victory in Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections reflects public trust in the government’s development work. He congratulated elected representatives and urged them to focus on public service over politics.

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday said that the sweeping victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections reflects the people’s strong endorsement of his government’s development-driven governance. Describing the mandate as decisive and clear, Mann said voters across the state had expressed their confidence in the work carried out by the AAP-led administration.

Addressing the outcome of the local body polls, the chief minister congratulated all newly elected representatives and urged them to rise above partisan politics. He emphasized that their foremost responsibility should be to serve the public with sincerity and ensure that development initiatives reach the grassroots without discrimination. According to Mann, public representatives must prioritize the everyday concerns of citizens and work collectively for the welfare of their respective regions.

The chief minister noted that the results were not merely an electoral success but a reflection of public trust in the government’s policies and performance. He said the mandate served as validation of the administration’s focus on development, transparency, and service delivery, adding that the victory would motivate the government to accelerate its efforts further.

Mann reiterated that the AAP views the outcome as a responsibility rather than a triumph, underscoring the need for continued accountability and people-centric governance. He stressed that the government remains committed to translating public confidence into tangible improvements on the ground.
