Poverty Alleviation at the Core of BJP’s Agenda, Says Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Welfare Schemes Transform Lives
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan says poverty alleviation is at the heart of the BJP’s agenda, highlighting that welfare schemes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi are improving healthcare, education, employment and financial security for economically weaker sections across India.
Addressing the issue of inclusive development, Chouhan stated that a wide range of welfare schemes introduced and implemented under the Modi-led government are steadily raising the living standards of economically weaker sections. He emphasized that these programmes are designed to ensure that the benefits of growth reach those who need them the most, bridging long-standing social and economic gaps.
According to the Union Minister, government interventions in sectors such as healthcare, education, employment generation and financial security have enabled direct access to essential services for vulnerable communities. He noted that targeted delivery mechanisms have helped ensure transparency and efficiency, allowing assistance to reach beneficiaries without delays or intermediaries.
Chouhan underlined that the BJP government’s priority is to provide equal opportunities to every citizen, irrespective of social or economic background, and to create conditions that enable sustained improvement in quality of life. He added that these welfare-driven policies are not isolated measures but part of a broader, continuous effort to strengthen national development while advancing social justice.
Concluding his remarks, the minister said that the government’s sustained focus on poverty alleviation is playing a crucial role in reinforcing the foundations of a more equitable and resilient India, aligning economic progress with social empowerment.
