Parliament Is the Sacred Heart of Democracy, I Will Answer Every Question: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan calls Parliament the sacred heart of democracy, urging opposition members to maintain decorum and engage in dialogue. He assures the House that the government will answer every question with responsibility, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and democratic debate.

New Delhi: Emphasising the sanctity of Parliament and the responsibility it places on elected representatives, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday described the House as the sacred heart of India’s democracy, underscoring the need to uphold its dignity through meaningful dialogue and accountability.

Speaking during a parliamentary address, Chouhan urged opposition members to listen carefully to the government’s response, assuring them that every issue raised would be addressed with clarity and a full sense of responsibility. He stated that democratic institutions thrive on discussion and debate, and that Parliament remains the foremost platform for such engagement.

The Union Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to answering all questions raised in the House, asserting that transparency and responsiveness are central to democratic governance. He stressed that constructive dialogue, rather than disruption, strengthens democratic traditions and helps ensure that public concerns are addressed effectively.

Chouhan’s remarks came amid ongoing discussions in Parliament, where opposition members have been pressing the government on various matters. By calling for attentive participation and respectful exchange, he sought to reaffirm the importance of parliamentary decorum and collective responsibility.
