Manipur Embodies Resilience, Courage and Cultural Brilliance: President Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday described Manipur as a land defined by resilience, courage and exceptional cultural richness, underscoring the state’s enduring spirit and vibrant heritage during her address in Imphal. Speaking to a gathering that included state officials, community representatives and cultural delegates, the President highlighted Manipur’s diverse traditions and the unwavering strength of its people as central to its identity.

She noted that the state’s cultural expressions—ranging from classical dance and indigenous art forms to community customs deeply rooted in history—have long contributed to India’s broader cultural landscape. According to her, it is this unique blend of heritage and fortitude that gives Manipur a distinguished position on the country’s cultural map.
