The Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon, Hong Kong’s largest annual cycling event, will return on Sunday, October 11, with two scenic rides designed to offer visitors and cycling enthusiasts from around the world a distinctive way to experience the city.
Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), the 2026 Hong Kong Cyclothon will feature a 56km Ride and a 32km Ride, taking participants through Hong Kong’s iconic bridges, tunnels and urban landscapes. The event will provide cyclists with an opportunity to experience the city from a rare perspective while taking in the vibrant energy of the Events Capital of Asia.
Registrations for the event are now open, inviting cycling enthusiasts and visitors to secure their places for the annual sporting event.
For Indian travellers looking to combine city experiences, outdoor adventure and short-haul escapes, the Hong Kong Cyclothon offers an opportunity to explore a different side of Hong Kong. Beyond the cycling routes, visitors can experience a dynamic metropolitan destination where urban excitement meets natural landscapes and a range of outdoor adventures.
The Hong Kong Cyclothon will again feature two popular non-competitive rides against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour’s signature skyline. More than 6,000 cyclists from around the world will set off from the West Kowloon Cultural District, passing multiple Hong Kong landmarks along major roads while experiencing scenery that combines a dynamic metropolis with a picturesque harbour.
The 56km Ride will feature an all-new route and offer a more challenging cycling experience, while the 32km Ride will provide a shorter option. Participants in both rides will have the opportunity to cycle along major roads closed to all traffic, experiencing the distinctive thrill of riding through the city’s busy urban environment.
The event will also extend beyond the cycling routes, with the HKTB presenting an action-packed Cyclothon Carnival at the West Kowloon Cultural District on event day. Running from morning until dusk, the carnival will feature sports, entertainment, family-friendly experiences and gourmet offerings for cyclists, visitors and locals.
