VinFast VF 7 Targets Stress-Free Family Road Trips With Comfort and Savings

VinFast VF 7 combines spacious interiors, remote cabin cooling, quiet electric driving and up to 496 km range to make long family road trips in India more comfortable while reducing charging and maintenance concerns.

The VinFast VF 7 is designed to address some of the common challenges associated with long family road trips in India, combining a spacious cabin, pre-conditioned interiors, quiet electric driving and lower running costs.

Its 2,840 mm wheelbase creates a spacious cabin, while the flat floor provides rear passengers with more room to stretch out comfortably, particularly children. The additional space also allows adults to maintain a more comfortable seating position during long journeys.

The electric powertrain further contributes to a quieter cabin by eliminating the engine noise that typically rises during acceleration. Lower noise and vibration can make highway journeys calmer and provide a more comfortable environment for passengers, including children who want to sleep during the drive.

Heat is another concern during road trips in India. The Indian-spec VF 7 allows users to remotely control the HVAC system through a smartphone app, enabling the cabin to be cooled before passengers enter the vehicle.

The feature can be particularly useful when the vehicle has been parked outside in hot conditions. Instead of entering a heated cabin and waiting for the air conditioning to cool it, users can switch on the AC 10-20 minutes before departure.

Depending on the variant, the VF 7 also offers ventilated front seats, dual-zone AC, an air ionizer and PM1.0 filtration.

The vehicle's electric powertrain also changes the economics of long-distance travel. While petrol and diesel vehicles require fuel purchases as additional kilometres are covered, EV charging can be incorporated into scheduled breaks during a journey.

The VF 7 supports DC fast charging, with charging from 10% to 70% taking around 26-28 minutes, depending on the Indian variant and charging conditions.

VinFast currently offers free charging at V-Green charging stations in India until March 31, 2029. V-GREEN is also working with partners including RoadGrid India to expand fast-charging infrastructure at high-demand locations across the country, including HPCL retail outlets, smart cities and other strategic sites.

Under the current programme, eligible VF 7 owners can reduce the energy cost associated with long-distance travel. Free scheduled maintenance is also available for three years or 36,000 km, whichever comes first.

Depending on the Indian VF 7 variant, the vehicle offers a range of up to 496 km, reducing the need to plan an entire road trip around charging stops.

The VF 7 combines its roomy cabin and 2,840 mm wheelbase with the smoothness of an electric powertrain. Higher variants add features including ventilated front seats, a head-up display, 360-degree surround-view monitoring and advanced driver assistance systems.

VinFast is also offering support through its India EV transition programme. Eligible customers switching from an internal-combustion vehicle to a VinFast EV can receive INR 175,000 to INR 214,000 of support across VF 7 variants.

From weekend trips to journeys covering hundreds of kilometres, the VF 7 brings together cabin space, pre-cooled interiors, quiet electric driving, charging support and reduced ownership costs to address key aspects of family travel.

VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS), a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, one of Vietnam's largest conglomerates, is a pure-play electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer with the mission of making EVs accessible to everyone. Its product lineup today includes a wide range of electric SUVs, e-scooters and e-buses.

VinFast is currently embarking on its next growth phase through rapid expansion of its distribution and dealership network globally and increasing its manufacturing capacities with a focus on key markets across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
