His captaincy record for India remains among the finest in world cricket. In 200 One-Day Internationals as captain, Dhoni led India to 110 victories and 74 defeats, while five matches ended in ties and 11 produced no result, giving him a winning percentage of 55. In T20 Internationals, he captained India in 72 matches, registering 41 wins and 28 defeats, with one tie and two no-results, resulting in a winning percentage of 56.94.
In Test cricket, Dhoni captained India in 60 matches, winning 27, losing 18 and drawing 15, finishing with a winning percentage of 45.
