District Council Members Take Oath of Office and Secrecy in Mandi
Thirty-six newly elected members of the District Council Mandi took the oath of office and secrecy during a formal ceremony held at the District Council Conference Hall in Bhyuli. Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan administered the oath and highlighted the members’ role in advancing rural development, public welfare, and effective implementation of district-level development programs.
The ceremony was administered by Deputy Commissioner Mandi, Apoorv Devgan, who delivered the oath of office and secrecy to all newly elected members. The event was attended by senior administrative officials and members of the District Council.
Congratulating the newly elected representatives, Devgan extended his best wishes for a successful and people-centric term. He emphasized that District Council members play a crucial role in the effective implementation of development schemes at both the rural and district levels. He said their leadership, active participation, and commitment to public service would provide fresh momentum and direction to development initiatives, ensuring direct benefits for residents across the district.
During the ceremony, the members pledged to discharge their responsibilities with complete integrity, impartiality, and dedication. They also reaffirmed their commitment to serving the public interest and upholding the responsibilities entrusted to them.
Among those present on the occasion were Additional District Magistrate Dr. Madan Kumar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Rupinder Kaur, District Panchayat Officer Anchit Dogra, the Member Secretary of the District Council, and other officials.
