2026 Tata Tiago and Tiago EV Launched in India with Major Design and Feature Upgrades, Prices Start at ₹4.69 Lakh
Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tiago and Tiago EV in India with refreshed design, upgraded interiors, enhanced safety features, and new technology additions. Priced from ₹4.69 lakh, the model introduces EV and iCNG variants, improved range, and advanced features aimed at strengthening its position in the compact hatchback segment.
The 2026 Tata Tiago features a comprehensive design overhaul, highlighted by a new LED headlamp setup with eyebrow-style daytime running lights integrated into the headlamp casing. A centrally placed black panel enhances the front fascia, complemented by a redesigned bumper that sharpens the overall visual appeal. The side profile remains largely unchanged, retaining its familiar silhouette and pull-type door handles, though it now receives newly designed alloy wheels. At the rear, the hatchback is updated with redesigned LED tail lamps featuring vertical line elements, a connected light signature appearance, and the Tata logo positioned centrally on the tailgate. The rear section also includes a wiper, the “Tiago” badge, and a revised bumper with vertical reflectors.
The Tiago EV mirrors the design language of the internal combustion engine variant but replaces the black front panel with a body-coloured unit. It also receives aerodynamic alloy wheels and distinct electric badging to differentiate it from the standard model.
The colour palette for the 2026 Tata Tiago includes Varanasi Vibrance, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Daytona Grey. The Tiago EV retains the same colour options, with the addition of Dehradun Dew as an exclusive shade.
Inside, the 2026 Tiago receives a significant interior upgrade while maintaining a black and light grey theme. The dashboard now features a more upright layout and a new standalone digital display for the driver. A redesigned two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo is also introduced. The infotainment system is upgraded to a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen unit. The “TIAGO” badge on the dashboard has been repositioned lower, integrated into the climate control panel, which continues to feature rotary knobs and toggle switches placed on a black panel for improved usability.
The feature list of the 2026 Tata Tiago includes a dual wireless charging system, a 360-degree camera, a blind-spot monitor, rear air conditioning vents, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, paddle shifters with the automated manual transmission variant, and automatic headlamps among others. Safety equipment includes six standard airbags, an electronic stability programme, hill-hold control, and an improved chassis structure. These enhancements contribute to its four-star Global NCAP safety rating. The electric version additionally receives features such as auto demisting and a high-beam alert system.
Mechanically, the 2026 Tata Tiago continues with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 86 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. The CNG variant delivers 75 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque and features dual-cylinder technology. Both powertrains are available with a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automated manual transmission. Notably, this marks the first instance in the segment where a CNG vehicle is offered with an automated manual transmission.
The Tiago EV is offered with two battery pack options of 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. It delivers a claimed usable range between 205 kilometres and 215 kilometres on a single charge, while the MIDC-rated range stands at 285 kilometres. The manufacturer claims the vehicle can gain up to 100 kilometres of range in 18 minutes of fast charging. Charging solutions include a 3.3 kW portable charger, a 7.2 kW home charger, and a 30 kW DC fast charger.
With these updates, Tata Motors aims to reinforce the Tiago’s position in the competitive hatchback and electric small car segment by combining enhanced safety, expanded features, and modern design upgrades.
