Galgotias University Enhances Rural Healthcare Access with Modern Rehabilitation Support at Dadha Community Health Centre
Galgotias University partners with Dadha Community Health Centre in Greater Noida to modernize rehabilitation and physiotherapy services, enhancing rural healthcare access, preventive care, and patient support while reducing the need for long-distance travel for treatment.
The collaboration, coordinated with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar, focuses on enhancing the physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit at the Centre. Galgotias University has provided modern therapy and rehabilitation equipment, trained physiotherapy personnel, and operational assistance to improve patient care delivery.
The support includes advanced equipment and rehabilitation infrastructure such as cervical traction systems, gait training devices, therapeutic exercise systems, shortwave diathermy units, TENS and IFT machines, walkers, shoulder wheels, pulleys, and associated physiotherapy facilities. Additionally, the University is supplying trained manpower and operational support essential for the effective functioning of the rehabilitation unit.
Beyond rehabilitation services, the partnership aims to strengthen the Centre’s broader healthcare systems. The initiative supports healthcare outreach programs, preventive health engagement, patient support services, quality assurance processes, and community-focused healthcare activities. By bringing rehabilitation and physiotherapy closer to patients’ homes, the program seeks to reduce the burden on individuals who otherwise need to travel significant distances for treatment and follow-up care.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, stated, “Access to healthcare remains one of the most pressing social challenges in many communities, particularly where rehabilitation and preventive care infrastructure is limited. Universities today have a responsibility beyond classrooms and campuses. Institutions with academic expertise, healthcare capability, and social commitment must actively contribute to strengthening public systems that directly impact people’s lives. Our support for Community Health Centre Dadha is an effort to leverage institutional resources and expertise to enhance healthcare access, rehabilitation support, and community health delivery for those who need it most.”
This initiative aligns with Galgotias University’s ongoing commitment to societal impact, public systems strengthening, and community-centered development across healthcare, education, innovation, and social outreach.
