CCTV Footage of Alleged Spitting on Pizza Dough in Noida Triggers Outrage and Police Action
A viral CCTV video allegedly showing a pizza shop owner spitting on dough in Noida has triggered public outrage and police action. The accused Mujammil, operator of Pizza Hunt in Sector 22, denies intentional wrongdoing, claiming he was blowing air on the dough. Authorities are conducting forensic analysis while the investigation continues.
The accused, identified as Mujammil, reportedly operates a food outlet named Pizza Hunt located in Chaura village of Sector 22. The case falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 24 Police Station in Noida. Following the circulation of the video online, authorities initiated action while the investigation remains ongoing.
According to reports, the CCTV footage was recorded inside the outlet before being shared widely on social media. The clip, approximately one minute and twenty-two seconds long, allegedly shows Mujammil preparing pizza dough while appearing to spit on it during the process. The video rapidly gained traction online, drawing strong public criticism over food safety and hygiene practices.
Members of the Hindu Raksha Dal stated that they were informed about the alleged incident before independently reviewing the CCTV footage. Sonu Sharma, president of the organization’s Khoda unit, reportedly said that members confronted Mujammil after observing the alleged act. Following the confrontation, he was handed over to local police authorities. Some reports also suggested that the accused was allegedly assaulted by certain individuals before law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and intervened.
Police officials later confirmed that Mujammil was taken into custody and questioned after the video surfaced online. Authorities stated that preventive measures had already been initiated as part of the ongoing inquiry.
During police questioning, the accused denied intentionally spitting on the pizza dough. He reportedly claimed that he was only blowing air on the dough to remove excess flour during preparation of the pizza base. Officials further stated that the authenticity and context of the viral footage are under detailed examination.
Police have also indicated that forensic analysis of the video may be conducted to determine whether it has been altered and to verify the exact time of recording. Materials from the food outlet have been seized, and other employees working at the establishment are also being questioned as part of the investigation.
The video, widely circulated on social media platform X by user “@gharkekalesh,” triggered strong reactions from the public. Users expressed concern over hygiene conditions in food outlets and delivery services. Comments ranged from shock and disgust to calls for stricter monitoring and enforcement of food safety standards, with several users emphasizing the importance of accountability in the food industry.
