Rewa–Mumbai Superfast Train Launched, Direct Weekly Service Begins After Long-Standing Demand

A direct weekly superfast train between Rewa and Mumbai has been launched, covering 1,235 km. Flagged off by MP Janardan Mishra, the new service eliminates the need for train changes and is expected to significantly improve connectivity and convenience for passengers.

In a significant development for regional connectivity, a direct superfast train service between Rewa and Mumbai has commenced operations, bringing long-awaited relief to passengers. On April 24, local MP Janardan Mishra flagged off the inaugural run, marking the beginning of a new weekly rail link that eliminates the need for passengers to change trains during the journey.

The newly introduced train, numbered 20153/54, will operate once a week between Rewa and Mumbai. The service had been in demand for a long time, as there was previously no direct train connecting the two cities. Passengers were required to switch trains, making travel inconvenient. With the launch of this service, the journey between Rewa and Mumbai is expected to become significantly easier.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, MP Janardan Mishra expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for facilitating the launch of the train. He stated that Mumbai is a major city, and the new direct service will make travel from Rewa more accessible and convenient for passengers.

The superfast train will cover a distance of 1,235 kilometers. It will depart from Rewa at approximately 3:50 PM and arrive the next day at around 12:20 PM at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
