India-Africa Partnership Signals Global Stability as Jaishankar Unveils IAFS-IV Framework
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar launched the theme, logo, and website for the 4th India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV) on April 23, 2026. Emphasizing "stability in a turbulent world," the Minister highlighted a shared history of decolonization and a future built on development partnership. The summit, themed ‘Enduring Partnership - Shared Vision,’ is set for May 28–31.
The Minister asserted that as the world navigates complex geo-political and geo-economic challenges, the India-Africa partnership assumes particular significance. Mr. Jaishankar characterized the union as a message of reliability in an uncertain world and of solidarity in difficult times, presenting the collaborative process as one designed to strengthen institutions and empower people. The launch event, held in the presence of New Delhi-based heads of missions and ambassadors from African nations, set the stage for the formal summit scheduled to take place from May 28 to 31.
The upcoming summit follows the third edition of the India-Africa Forum Summit, which was conducted in October 2015. Under the official theme ‘Enduring Partnership - Shared Vision,’ IAFS-IV seeks to revitalize the strategic roadmap between the two regions. By formalizing the administrative framework through the new website and logo, the Indian government has signaled its commitment to a structured and impactful diplomatic engagement. This event reinforces the transition toward a more integrated geopolitical strategy, ensuring that the shared vision of both India and the African continent translates into a robust and lasting global influence.
