Security Guard Dies After Altercation at Private Hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich, Neighbor Arrested
A 60-year-old security guard died after a violent altercation at Sparsh Hospital in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Police say the guard collapsed following an alleged assault by a neighbor. The accused has been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing.
The incident occurred at Sparsh Hospital, located in the Ghassiyari Pura locality under the Kotwali Dehat police station limits. According to police officials, 60-year-old security guard Nandpal Yadav became involved in a dispute with his neighbor, identified as Anupam Pandey. What began as a heated argument reportedly escalated into physical violence, during which Pandey allegedly assaulted the guard and pushed him forcefully.
Witness accounts suggest that Yadav collapsed to the ground during the confrontation and never recovered. He was declared dead at the scene, triggering panic among hospital staff and residents in the area. Local police were alerted immediately and reached the hospital premises without delay.
The Additional Superintendent of Police (City) visited the site to assess the situation and oversee preliminary inquiries. The victim’s body was taken into police custody and sent for post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death. Authorities have confirmed that Anupam Pandey has been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.
