Brother Attacks Sibling and Sister-in-Law With Sharp Weapon in Sonbhadra Village, Two Seriously Injured

Two people were seriously injured after a younger brother allegedly attacked his elder brother and sister-in-law with a sharp weapon in Kurhul village of Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred following a family tragedy, and police have launched an investigation.

A violent family dispute erupted in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, leaving two people seriously injured after a younger brother allegedly attacked his elder brother and sister-in-law with a sharp-edged weapon. The incident occurred in Kurhul gram panchayat, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to local accounts, the attack took place in the aftermath of the death of a son in the family, an event that reportedly heightened tensions within the household. In a sudden outburst, the younger brother allegedly assaulted the couple, causing severe injuries and triggering panic among villagers.

Residents rushed to the scene and, with the help of locals, the injured man and woman were taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Chopan for immediate medical attention. Due to the seriousness of their injuries, doctors referred both victims to the district hospital for advanced treatment.

Police officials have confirmed that they have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events and circumstances leading to the attack. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the probe.
