Bollywood Actress Khushi Mukherjee Claims Past Messages From Suryakumar Yadav, Cricketer Yet to Respond
Bollywood actress Khushi Mukherjee claims Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav frequently messaged her in the past, though they no longer communicate. Yadav has not responded. The cricketer recently visited Tirumala temple and is preparing to lead India ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
Mukherjee, who rose to prominence through her appearances in films and the MTV reality show Splitsvilla, made the remarks while responding to a reporter’s question about whether she would consider dating a cricketer. Dismissing the idea outright, she said she does not like being linked romantically to sports personalities. In a video shared by Kiddaan Entertainment, Mukherjee stated that several cricketers had approached her over time, adding that Suryakumar Yadav used to message her frequently earlier, but that communication has since stopped and she prefers to maintain distance.
As of now, Suryakumar Yadav has not issued any response or clarification regarding the actress’s statements.
Away from the controversy, the Indian batter was recently seen on a spiritual visit with his wife, Devisha Shetty. The couple offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh, on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi. Temple authorities facilitated their darshan, and they passed through the Vaikuntha Dwaram, a sacred ceremonial passage opened on the auspicious day. Wearing traditional attire, the couple participated in rituals and received blessings from the priests at the Ranganayakulavari Mandapam, later accepting Tirtha Prasadam and presenting vestments to the deity.
On the professional front, Yadav continues to play a pivotal role in Indian cricket. His most recent appearance came during the T20I series against South Africa, where he captained India to a commanding 3–1 series victory. He is set to lead the national side again in a five-match T20I series against New Zealand in January 2026, which will serve as crucial preparation ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled to begin on February 7.
India will enter the global tournament as defending champions, having secured the 2024 T20 World Cup title in Barbados with a final victory over South Africa. As Yadav balances leadership responsibilities on the field and public attention off it, the latest claims underline the intense scrutiny faced by high-profile athletes operating at the intersection of sports, celebrity, and public life.
