Amit Shah Accuses Critics of Spreading “One-Sided Lies” on SIR for Four Months
Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused critics of spreading one-sided misinformation about the SIR for four months, saying the campaign misled citizens and distorted public debate. He called for clarity, transparency and verified facts to restore accurate understanding of the issue.
According to the Home Minister, the narrative surrounding the SIR had been shaped by selective and misleading claims that, in his view, undermined public trust. He stressed that the government’s priority was to ensure that citizens received accurate information rather than politically motivated interpretations. Shah reiterated that transparency was essential when national concerns are at stake, urging a shift away from rumor-driven debates toward informed public understanding.
Concluding his remarks, Shah underlined the importance of restoring factual accuracy to the discussion, saying that only clear and truthful communication would allow the public to fairly assess the matter. He added that the government remained committed to addressing misconceptions and presenting the actual position in a manner accessible to all.
