Zelensky Signals Rapid Progress on 20-Point Peace Framework, Prepares Security and Economic Pacts With the United States

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announces rapid progress on a 20-point framework to end the war, detailing new U.S.-linked security and economic documents focused on guarantees, reconstruction, and investment. He confirms full alignment with Washington and European participation as Kyiv advances upcoming negotiations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced swift movement on a 20-point framework designed to guide efforts toward ending the war, describing the document as the foundational blueprint for all forthcoming steps. Speaking after a high-level meeting in Kyiv, he said authorities are actively working to ensure that each point in the framework is translated into practical and implementable measures.

According to Zelensky, two additional documents—deriving directly from the core peace framework—are now being drafted. The first focuses on security cooperation and will include specific security guarantees from the United States. The second centers on economic recovery, outlining plans for reconstruction and joint investment efforts. Zelensky confirmed that the economic paper was the primary agenda of the day’s meeting and emphasized that its principles are “absolutely clear” and already aligned with the U.S. position. Based on this consensus, an economic action plan is expected to be finalized soon. He also reaffirmed that European partners will participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction.

Zelensky noted that progress on the remaining documents is expected shortly, adding that upcoming negotiations will be advanced by Rustem Umerov. He stressed that these coordinated efforts—spanning security assurances, economic rebuilding, and the overarching 20-point framework—represent Ukraine’s most structured and comprehensive push yet toward securing a lasting settlement.

The president’s remarks underscore Kyiv’s determination to consolidate international backing as it navigates the dual challenges of wartime defense and long-term recovery. The evolving documents, crafted in partnership with the United States and supported by Europe, signal a renewed diplomatic momentum aimed at shaping Ukraine’s post-war future.
