Hindu Mahasabha Seeks Strong Action Against TMC MLA Over Controversial Remarks

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha submits a memorandum to the Prime Minister demanding strict action against TMC MLA Humayun Kabir over his controversial remarks. The organisation alleges the comments threaten national integrity and social harmony, calling for immediate government intervention.

A political storm has erupted after Trinamool Congress (TMC) legislator Humayun Kabir’s recent remarks triggered sharp criticism from the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. The organisation on Saturday submitted a formal memorandum to the Prime Minister, urging immediate and stringent action against the MLA for what it described as statements capable of undermining national integrity and disturbing social harmony.

According to the memorandum, the Mahasabha accused Kabir of delivering comments that it believes amount to anti-national intent and pose a threat to India’s cultural fabric. The group alleged that the remarks were serious enough to warrant charges of sedition and insisted that allowing such statements to go unchecked could fuel discord within communities.

The organisation further claimed that Kabir’s comments were likely to heighten societal tension and provoke unrest, arguing that swift intervention from central authorities was necessary to prevent potential escalation. While the document does not detail the administrative response, the Mahasabha maintains that immediate punitive measures would set a precedent against rhetoric that could destabilise public order.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the incident has added a fresh layer of political friction, underscoring the growing sensitivity around public statements made by elected representatives and their potential impact on communal relations.
