Bihar Election 2025: PM Modi interacts with NDA women workers, urges them to boost voter turnout

Patna:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with women workers of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, as campaigning for the first phase of the assembly elections entered its final leg.

During the virtual interaction held under the BJP’s “Mera Booth, Sabse Majboot” initiative, PM Modi encouraged the women party workers to play an active role in increasing voter turnout and strengthening grassroots outreach.

“The NDA government is committed to improving the ease of living for women and empowering them. We have to ensure that the NDA gets the votes of all women,” he said.

PM Modi slams Opposition leaders

“Bihar voters should give a befitting reply to those insulting sentiments of the people of the state. Two princes are roaming in Bihar, including one from Delhi who has been insulting Chhathi Maiya,” he said.

PM Modi took a Jungle Raj jibe at the opposition and said the NDA was going to win the upcoming Bihar election by breaking the record of 20 years.

"The people of Bihar have made up their mind that this time they are going to make the NDA victorious and break the record of the last 20 years. The people of Jungle Raj will see their biggest defeat. The development of Bihar can only be done under the NDA," he said.

Emphasis on women’s participation in voting

During an interaction with Shalini Singh, the Panchayat chief of Khangaon village, PMModi emphasised the importance of women’s participation in the upcoming elections. He asked Panna Pramukhs to motivate women in their respective areas to vote early on polling day.

"We have started metros and Vande Bharat Express. When metro trains run, women benefit the most. When you (Shalini Singh) meet people, tell them about our manifesto and the mantra of 'Pehle matdaan phir jalpaan'. The Panna Pramukh should ensure that the women in their Panna cast their votes first," he said.

During the discussion, Begusarai Mahila Morcha chief Rekha Ram informed the Prime Minister that BJP workers were arranging transport facilities for women to reach polling booths easily and safely.

"We are providing vehicles to women to travel and cast votes," Dr Rekha Ram said.

She also expressed strong faith in the NDA’s victory, saying that various welfare schemes had improved the lives of women.

"Women are proudly saying that the double-engine government has changed our lives. We proudly say that the government has provided free ration, 125-unit free electricity, a Rs 1,100 senior citizen pension and Rs 10,000 for business. I have met women who told me they are running their business, bought sewing machines with the Rs 10,000," she added.
