Salman Khan may have arrived late to the birthday celebrations, but he did not miss the opportunity to wish Shah Rukh Khan on his 61st birthday. The Bollywood star shared a special birthday message for his 'bhai' on Instagram Story, alongside the new song Tu Mil Jaaye from SRK's upcoming film King.
"Happy Birthday Shah Rukh. Hamesha jawaan raho The King. Yeh meri dua hai (Stay young forever the King, it's my prayer)," Salman wrote.
Interestingly, Salman's birthday wish referenced two of Shah Rukh Khan's films. The word 'Jawan' in his message referred to SRK's 2023 film, which marked his first collaboration with director Atlee. Salman also used the occasion to promote King, one of Shah Rukh's much-anticipated upcoming projects, which is scheduled for a Christmas release this year.
Shah Rukh Khan had an eventful 61st birthday. The actor skipped the midnight ritual of greeting fans from the balcony of his Mumbai residence, Mannat, on Sunday. However, he made his fans' day when he appeared late in the evening yesterday, waving at them and blowing kisses amid tight security.
Three new teasers from King also lit up the massive LED screen outside his bungalow on Sunday night. Shah Rukh further delighted his fans with a handwritten note displayed on the same LED.
Apart from Salman Khan, several Bollywood celebrities, including Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Farah Khan and Shilpa Shetty, also wished Shah Rukh on his birthday.
King Star Cast
King marks the reunion of Shah Rukh Khan and director Siddharth Anand, who previously worked together on Pathaan. The film also brings SRK and Deepika Padukone together after Jawan.
Shah Rukh recently teased his intense avatar in the film through a new poster. The caption read, "Qaatil Nahi... Aashiq Hai... #KING. In cinemas 24.12.2026."
The words were an homage to Shah Rukh's film Baadshah and its title track.
The star-studded ensemble cast of King includes Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi and Abhay Verma.
Kareena Kapoor has also joined the film for a special dance number.
King is set to arrive in theatres on December 24, bringing Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand together once again for a film that has already generated considerable anticipation among fans.
