Festival Rush Ahead: Railways to Run Two Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath
Northern Railway will run two festival special trains during the Diwali and Chhath season, including Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Kolkata and Amritsar-Barauni services.
The Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Kolkata special express, train numbers 04312/04311, will operate from Yog Nagari Rishikesh every Friday from October 16 to November 20. In the return direction, the train will depart from Kolkata every Sunday from October 18 to November 22. There will be six trips in each direction.
Train number 04312 will depart from Yog Nagari Rishikesh at 10:20 pm. The train will have a total of 18 coaches, including general, sleeper and AC classes. It will reach Alamnagar after passing through Haridwar, Moradabad, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur.
After Alamnagar, the train will travel through Utrathia, Raebareli, Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh and Varanasi. It will then proceed via Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Gaya and Dhanbad before reaching Kolkata at 8 am the following day.
The second festival special train announced by Northern Railway is the Amritsar-Barauni-Amritsar special express. According to the available information, this train will also operate between October and December. However, the operating dates, timings and complete list of intermediate stations for this train are not available in the information provided.
