Pappu Yadav Breaks Silence Over Bihar Floods on PM Modi's Birthday

Pappu Yadav breaks his silence on PM Modi’s birthday over Bihar floods, sharing a video of Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s survey with Samrat Choudhary. Mukesh Sahani also questions birthday celebrations amid the flood crisis.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on Thursday was being celebrated by BJP leaders and workers as an occasion of festivity, but amid the celebrations, MP Pappu Yadav broke his ‘silence’ by sharing a video of the flood situation in Bihar on his X handle and questioning the ground-level visit of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The video shared by Pappu Yadav shows the flood situation in Bihar. On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, along with Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, conducted a survey of the flood-affected areas using a boat and a tractor. Opposition leaders have now raised questions over the nature of the ground visit. Pappu Yadav also targeted the visit in the same context.

While sharing the video, Pappu Yadav wrote, “It is my father’s death anniversary… I did not want to criticise anyone today in his remembrance, but after witnessing the shameless spectacle of the world champions of shamelessness, I was compelled to break my silence.”

Meanwhile, VIP chief Mukesh Sahani extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, “He has completed 25 years in public life... He has handled several important political responsibilities… Now, the aspirations and expectations of the people of the country need to be fulfilled.”

Sahani also questioned the programmes being organised in Bihar on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and the appeal to light lamps. He said that a large number of people have been affected by the floods in the state and several families have been rendered homeless.

In this context, Sahani questioned how people who do not have a home to live in would be able to light lamps, putting the flood situation and the birthday celebrations at the centre of the political debate in Bihar.
