The attack took place in Sikka Colony, where the aunt was walking with the baby when the pitbull knocked her down and bit the child severely on the face and abdomen. The dog continued attacking the baby and would not let go until residents intervened.
The aunt tried desperately to protect the child during the attack, while residents eventually stepped in to stop the dog. The baby was subsequently taken for treatment and remains in critical condition at PGIMS Rohtak hospital.
