Amit Shah Presents President’s Colour to Goa Police at Panaji Parade, Honouring Service

Amit Shah presented the President’s Colour to Goa Police at a grand Panaji parade on September 7, recognising its service, discipline and public safety role, while highlighting new criminal laws and an AI-powered cyber fraud helpline.

 

On September 7, 2026, Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the President’s Colour, the highest honour for state police forces, to Goa Police at a ceremonial parade held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Panaji, recognising the force’s service, discipline and role in maintaining public safety.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant joined other leaders at the grand parade, which was attended by between 3,500 and 4,000 people. The ceremony featured flag presentations and formal salutes as Goa Police received the prestigious honour.

During the event, Shah praised Goa Police for its work in implementing the new criminal laws and highlighted innovations introduced by the force, including an AI-powered cyber fraud helpline.

With the presentation, Goa Police became the 15th police force to receive the President’s Colour, marking the recognition of its service, discipline and contribution to public safety.
