India plans to launch its first indigenous B28 bullet train by March 2027, developed by BEML for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed corridor. The 280 kmph train will debut on the Surat–Vapi route, featuring modern amenities and advanced infrastructure under an Rs 866.87 crore project.

The Ministry of Railways has outlined plans to roll out India’s first bullet train, named ‘B28’, by March 2027, marking a significant step in the country’s high-speed rail ambitions.
