Mother Sacrifices Daughter in Chilling Hazaribagh Ritual to Cure Ailing Son
A 35-year-old mother in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, has been arrested for the ritual sacrifice of her 12-year-old daughter to cure her son’s illness. Guided by a tantrik, the woman and her lover committed the murder on the night of Ashtami. This professional report covers the chilling details of the police investigation, the occult influence involved, and the subsequent arrests of all three suspects.
The brutal act was orchestrated on the night of March 24, coinciding with Ashtami, the eighth day of the Hindu festival Navratri. According to police reports, Reshmi Devi held her daughter’s legs while Bhim Ram strangled the child to death. Following the strangulation, Shanti Devi inserted a wooden stick into the girl’s private parts, and Bhim Ram struck the victim's head to extract blood for the occult ritual. The perpetrators subsequently buried the body in a garden to conceal the crime.
The investigation commenced immediately after the girl's body was discovered the following morning. During the interrogation, the three suspects attempted to mislead law enforcement by alleging the victim had been raped; however, postmortem and forensic reports failed to substantiate these claims, leading to their eventual confession. Authorities revealed that Reshmi Devi and Bhim Ram had been involved in an affair for approximately ten years, a period during which her husband worked in Maharashtra and seldom visited. It was further disclosed that Bhim Ram is a habitual offender, already facing allegations in the murders of his sister-in-law and another individual. This case stands as a grim testament to the lethal intersection of superstition and exploitation, highlighting the enduring danger of extreme occult practices in modern society.
