Chandauli Woman Seeks Justice, Accuses Man of Exploitation Under Pretext of Marriage
A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district has appealed to the Superintendent of Police, alleging sexual exploitation under the promise of marriage and intimidation through explicit video threats. After months of her complaint being bounced between stations, she seeks urgent legal action.
According to the woman, she has been visiting police stations for several months, attempting to lodge an FIR. However, she alleges that her application was repeatedly transferred between the Alinagar and Mughalsarai police stations, with neither taking responsibility for formally registering her case. The administrative back-and-forth, she says, left her without legal recourse and forced her to escalate the matter.
Frustrated by the lack of action, the woman reached the SP’s office to submit her complaint directly and demanded immediate intervention. She has urged senior officials to initiate an inquiry and ensure that her accusations are investigated in accordance with the law.
The incident underscores long-standing concerns about delays in filing cases of sexual exploitation, especially when victims allege coercion and digital threats. The woman’s plea for action highlights the need for swift, coordinated police response to prevent further intimidation and ensure victims receive timely access to justice.
