Blaze Guts Parked Bus in Hardoi; No Injuries Reported

A parked bus in Sandila, Hardoi district, was completely destroyed after a sudden fire erupted near a local power house. No injuries were reported, though the vehicle suffered total damage. Police and local residents say the cause remains unclear as an inquiry is underway.

A parked passenger bus was reduced to a charred shell after a sudden fire broke out near the power house in Sandila town of Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. The blaze, which erupted on the roadside, engulfed the vehicle within minutes, leaving little more than its metal frame behind.

According to local residents and police officials who reached the scene, the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Witnesses reported seeing flames rising rapidly from the stationary bus, prompting nearby shopkeepers and bystanders to alert authorities. Fire personnel and police teams responded promptly, but the vehicle was already largely consumed by the time the flames were brought under control.

Despite the intensity of the fire, no injuries or casualties were reported, as the bus was unoccupied at the time of the incident. However, the vehicle suffered extensive damage, resulting in a significant financial loss for its owner. Police officials have initiated a preliminary inquiry to determine whether the fire stemmed from a technical fault, a short circuit, or any other cause.

The incident has drawn attention to safety preparedness and the potential risks posed by unattended vehicles parked along busy roads. Authorities are expected to review the findings of the investigation before taking any further action.
