Stock Market Rebounds After Seven-Day Slide as Sensex Gains 518 Points

Indian stock markets halted a seven-day losing streak as the BSE index gained 518.04 points and the NSE rose 130.05 points, supported by softer US bond yields and positive trends across Asian markets.

The Indian stock market halted its seven-day losing streak on Thursday as benchmark indices opened higher, supported by positive global market trends and softer US bond yields.

The BSE benchmark posted a gain of 500 points in early trade, signalling a recovery from the sustained decline seen over the past seven trading sessions. At present, the BSE index has gained 518.04 points, or 0.67 per cent, to trade at 77,427.72.

The NSE index also remained firmly in positive territory. It has advanced 130.05 points, or 0.54 per cent, and is currently trading at 24,208.35.

The recovery in Indian equities came amid positive trends across international markets. Softer US bond yields also supported the turnaround in the domestic stock market after the recent seven-day decline.
