Woman Arrested After CCTV Shows Her Abusing Shivaji Maharaj Statue in Pune

The woman, identified in posts as Ashwini Dagde, was seen in the footage near the statue as the incident unfolded. Nearby women quickly intervened after witnessing the act and marked her face and arms with purple ink as a crowd gathered at the spot.

The locals then handed the woman over to Pune City Police, who arrested her on serious charges. No further violence was reported at the scene following the intervention and arrest.
