Virat Kohli has been ranked India’s most valuable personality with a brand value of ₹3,542 crore, according to a Fortune India and Interbrand study. Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas secured the second and third positions, while the rankings highlight the influence of leading figures from cricket and the entertainment industry.
The research evaluated the 25 most valuable celebrities in India. Among the top ten personalities, three are cricketers and seven belong to the film industry, highlighting the continued dominance of sports and entertainment figures in the country’s brand landscape.
Among female celebrities, Priyanka Chopra Jonas secured the highest ranking. Other women featured in the list include Deepika Padukone, who ranked 11th, Rashmika Mandanna at 17th position, Kriti Sanon, Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana, and South Indian actress Nayanthara.
The list of valuable personalities also includes singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, filmmaker Karan Johar, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, and actor Vicky Kaushal.
According to the study, brand value was not determined solely on the basis of celebrity earnings, social media followers, or box office performance. The assessment also considered several factors that define brand strength, including uniqueness, consistency, engagement, trust, affinity, and responsibility. These elements collectively contributed to the final brand valuation assigned to each celebrity.
The rankings underscore the growing importance of personal branding in India, where influence extends beyond commercial success to include credibility, public connection, and long-term brand strength, making these personalities some of the most valuable public figures in the country.
