India’s Foreign Policy Transformation Elevates Global Standing Over 12 Years, Says MEA
India’s foreign policy has transformed over the past 12 years, strengthening Brand India and its global stature, the Ministry of External Affairs said. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal highlighted India’s role as a voice of the Global South, a first responder in crises, and promoter of initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance and UPI-based digital public goods across borders.
In a statement shared on social media, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal highlighted the significant evolution of India’s diplomatic outreach and international engagement. He noted that India has emerged as a prominent voice of the Global South while also acting as a first responder during global crises, reflecting a more proactive and responsible global role.
The statement emphasized that India’s contemporary foreign policy framework has successfully combined national interest with global public goods. According to the spokesperson, this approach is reflected in key international initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, which promotes global cooperation in renewable energy, and the expansion of digital public goods like the Unified Payments Interface across international borders.
Over the last decade, India’s strategic engagements and developmental partnerships have contributed to a stronger global image, reinforcing its position as a key stakeholder in shaping inclusive global governance frameworks. The Ministry underlined that these initiatives collectively demonstrate India’s commitment to sustainable development, technological cooperation, and financial innovation on the global stage.
