Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds high-level talks with Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides in New Delhi to strengthen bilateral cooperation, regional coordination, and multilateral engagement. The visit includes official meetings, delegation-level discussions, and agreement signings, marking a significant milestone in India–Cyprus relations ahead of 65 years of diplomatic ties next year.
President Christodoulides is undertaking a four-day official visit to India, accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Constantinos Kombos, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeades, senior officials, and business leaders.
This marks the first visit of President Christodoulides to India in his current capacity, underscoring the growing diplomatic engagement between the two countries. As part of the official programme, the President of Cyprus is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan later this evening.
India and Cyprus share a close and time-tested partnership, with both countries set to mark 65 years of diplomatic relations in February next year, reflecting the enduring strength and continuity of their bilateral ties.
