Mumbai’s skyline is set for a historic transformation with the ‘Statue of Equality,’ a 350-foot bronze tribute to Dr. BR Ambedkar rising off the Dadar coastline. This monumental project, situated on 5 hectares of former mill land, honors the architect of the Indian Constitution and the leader of the Dalit movement through a towering 450-foot total structure overlooking the Arabian Sea.
The project will serve as the anchor for an expansive commemorative complex spanning nearly 5 hectares of land on the Dadar coastline. This site, which formerly served as mill land, is being transformed to house the massive installation. Every administrative and structural detail of the development reflects the scale of Ambedkar’s legacy, ensuring that the physical dimensions of the monument match the historical weight of his contributions to the nation.
